golden week.

It is especially golden because it is Friday and the end of a historical week. My family, as I am sure a lot of other Americans, is on cloud nine still. Change is coming, not over night but I am sure this will be a phenomenal administration. I have always voted but never was prouder to put an x by a candidate's name and to be in line with so many people rocking the vote!! I hope Americans continue to exercise their right to vote like this in the future!

B and I are crossing our fingers that we will be selected for tickets to for the inauguration and gala. She put our names down with our congressmen, so we will have to wait and see! DC is going to be rocking in January, I will keep you posted!

No big plans for the weekend, hopefully some scrapping will be done. I started on a grey layout (dare 112) this morning, so it is a start. I am currently loving diecuts, printed out a bunch at Morgan's last weekend with the cricut expression (so want one now), thinking this will be on my Christmas wish list!

I can't believe we are 48 days away from Christmas! I am ready, no scrooge this year!

  2. How incredible to have the possiblity of going to the inauguration. What a historical day that would be. I'm Canadian, so obviously I didn't get a vote, but I would've been Obama all the way!

  4. Hey, they said on the local news that every hotel in town is booked for the inauguration, hope you get the tickets. But even if you don't, they said you don't need a ticket to stand on the lawn. I haven't been to Chantilly, it's almost 45 mins away and I don't know that part of town very well. I'm ready for christmas too, but I don't feel like shopping. Decorating yes, shopping nah.

  6. Like you, I am so excited to see what the next 4 years brings. I wish his family had all been alive to see this. What a proud moment for him and for all of us as Americans to see him elected into office.

  8. I hope that you will get that ticket and be able to witness that historical moment! Congratulations on this new Prersident! He is also populair amongst 4 year olds in The Netherlands. My son loves to point at pictures of Obama in The newspapers. "Mommy, that is Barak Obama!"
