happy thursday+space

So today a tour around my scrap space, it is small but these are the things I am loving right now, so I thought I would share. Dawn sent me some awesome postcards so I threw one up on the wire, like stat, then I thought I would add some other trinkets to the mix to make it fresh again. :)


A huge butt pile of layouts, I really need to put them in an album. The pile is really bigger, more meets the eye in this case for sure. But don't worry they are in page protectors just not in an album yet. I love American Crafts Modern albums because I throw all my sizes in the 12x12 and its done.


This little cutie sits on my desk and holds all my its and bits from kits and scraps that I can't a. stand to throw away, b. use all the time and c. that I add for texture to layouts.


I love thickers, I know I am not alone in this obsession.;) I have this mesh basket full of them, I won't say how many are in the basket but they all go in here grouped together by color.


I love adhesive so when I won it in the MMM contest I was on cloud line, companies sent a lot but this is all I have left, yeah can you say scrap much? My favorites are Therm O Web and 3L Scrapbooking Adhesives.


What's this.... a rak. I cleaned out my stamps last week, some are used but most have never been used and all in great condition. If you would like a chance to win please leave a comment. I haven't done these in a while and since I am keeping the "blog everyday" ball rolling, I thought I would make a few this morning and it was fun! I haven't made atc's in ages....

LOST is going to be the dope show tonight, it is the 100th epi so you know it is going to epic! I am also ready to see how the "models" on ANTM will mess up on their go see's...should be comical to say the least.

...can't believe we are getting closer to half a year passing, it is insane but glorious too!

yes...it's me again.

I am back again, yay me! :) I am thinking this may not be so hard after all. I was seriously trying to think about a post this morning while working out with Richard, which isn't easy when he is screaming to dance, (sweating to the oldies) lol. I have a confession....

this is a problem, lol. I looked at my stack of photos the other day and it is huge! I am making a promise to myself to stop taking so many, because this is getting a tad out of hand, but it is something so magical about watching that picture develop. Yes, my land camera will be making the trip with me to the islands. okay...but after that it is going on hiatus....

It's the start of another week .... my sister said that I need to update more often. lol, so this week I am trying to post something every day, lord help me. I have no scraps to share as I didn't create this weekend. I did have a nice chill weekend. B and I took a mini trip down to Richmond to see our mommy, it was so fun, while Edwin had S2. It is so hot, but it is good- right now it is already in the 80's and it isn't even noon!

Heroes finale tonight, can't wait! Sylar is totally off the charts but still can't wait to see what he is going to do, they are never going to get rid of him!

This is my last Friday with the girls at Lotus Paperie, it was really fun! Check these girls out they are fresh, my layout for this week's challenge. Synai loves my purses,well she loves all things girlie period. She is such a girl and has her own sense of style already. I know I have typos in my journaling, but my typewriter was not my friend this morning. I think I have used these Hambly butterflies to their limit but I love them, will have to get some more, they are so fun!

Grey's was just plain wonderful last night! I really did miss it on my Thursday line up....dare I say that it is finally starting to feel like spring/summer today. The weekend is going to be fabulous and I am up for some shenanigans...I can't wait!!!! Enjoy your weekend! kisses

happy earth day!

It's earth day and I think I was much influenced by that this morning when I created this layout! LOL, I went crazy with the green and just embellishments in general but I just rolled with the creative juices. I we overslept, children didn't want to go back to school and thunderstorms is whats on tap for this Wednesday. But is all good because without the rain we wouldn't have such a gorgeous spring and I love the color of spring. My allergies are starting to flair up as well as the childrens, woke up to very puffy eyes, hello over sized eyeglasses you are my friend today even with no sun!

I love recycling and saw a segment on GMA this morning where you can save candy wrappers, juice pouches, potato chip bags, cookie bags etc... send them to TerraCycle, in turn they give you two cents a wrapper and make bags out of the wrappers. The money you receive is donated to a charity or school of your choice. This is fabulous, I want to do this with my family and to save save save so we can keep the chain going an.d give back plus help the environment. More information can be found....here.

Finally finished watching the second season of Damages last night, totally blew the first season out of the water! I love that show and it has the best episode titles. Good news is that my dvr has 43% free space, bad news is that I am still a season behind on Ugly Betty, 5 episodes behind on GG, didn't watch the hills or heores this week....oy. We are also looking at this season of ANTM, I know I had a few questions about that, it is good but a little redundant. Jay and Ms. Jay is what keeps me coming back. I love how Jay gets pissed at the girls when they are not listening to him or his comments about them! LOST special tonight, looking forward to it plus the 100th episode next week, eeek can't wait!!!

weekend recap in pictures mostly:
-Park play, these two love being outside and it is also a good time for mommy to take some photos. I don't think they were feeling the lens,lol.

-I went to the hill yesterday for lunch with a dear friend. We ate at Matchbox, if you are ever in DC you must try this local favorite. It is awesome and on Sundays they have a live jazz band at the Capitol Hill location which makes it even better! They cook their pizza in a brick oven and are known for their 3-6-9 sliders! I had the bistro burger which is what the pic is of sorta, I was more fascinated with the tree growing out of my onion rings! lol The burger was delish, hello gorgonzola cheese!!!

-I also went out Saturday night but without the camera, it was so nice! :) More live music, jazz, go go and dancing.... some research for an upcoming feature, can't wait to share!

-Watched Grey Gardens with my sister, I loved it! I thought Jessica Lang and Drew Barrymore were cast perfectly.

But at last we are back to rain today, blek! lets roll week!!xo

omg, so much to talk about, hello friends! ;)
I had a great Easter weekend, hope you did too! Let's see, saw a lot of family, ate good food, laughed a lot and saw Hannah Montana The Movie with saadiq and synai (cute movie)-my weekend in summation.

Do you remember this lil guy (momo)? He has gotten so BIG and he totally reminds me of Marley in Marley and me... same intense love of life and his family. He and my mom came up for the holiday and he was ruling the roost much to Aiden's dismay.



Okay, I have given up on catching up on GG just going to continue dvr'ing it and watch it all one weekend without interruptions. I did however watch The Hills, omg, totally laughed my arse off! lol, was Stephanie really serious trying to give Kelly a fluffed resume. I mean come on, of all the people to do that to I wouldn't try it with that one!!! I totally lost it when Kelly started talking to her in french and Stephanie was like duh.... I couldn't believe she was dumb enough to say she spoke french, knowing she would be in a face to face interview. Not only that she doesn't know what a darn label is, omg! The twitch still got the "job", this is going to be very interesting lol. I love Kelly's logic that she just might do something brilliant since the interview went so well, I am thinking highly unlikely!!! lol, Lauren is so afraid of Kelly, I love it! Speidi is getting on my nerves, you would think Heidi would invest in some acting classes, for lines fights with Spencer.



New jack is up today, my turn to pick so I had to pick the fabulous R.Akers, even though she is on a scrapping hiatus at the moment. I loved this layout months ago when she was a Tulip girl. So this is my take.

The weather has been less than fluff lately, rain rain and more rain. I think we are suppose to dry out a bit starting tomorrow, so ready for some sun. I am in countdown to vacation mode for real, five weeks and counting to the Caribbean! I purchased my tickets for CHA, who is going....holla at me and maybe we can hang in O-town! :)

I think that cleaning bug is going around. I blame mine on spring fever and maybe the fact that my prego hormones have kicked into nesting mode. Either way, the feeling of accomplishment afterwards is wonderful. I'm glad you got a lot done and had a smooth weekend!!

LOST truly gets me thru my Wednesdays, I can't wait for it each week. My babies come back today, can't wait to see them! I am sure they will have lots to share! It is a short work week too, one more day in the office, wahoooo! :)

oh and hi to new readers, lurkers and well everyone, :) The Hills was ridiculous, but yeah I watched! The fake make-up scene was ridiculous, Lauren in red lipstick, equally ridiculous, Spencer's sweaty face, yep you guessed it ridiculous. Will I watch it again next week, yes= ridiculous. The highlight of the night was Stephanie finally telling Spencer the business, he didn't know what to say. You would think they would write a new script for Speidi or that's right it is reality.....

I don't have new scraps to share, so I thought I would share one of my latest layouts from Memory Makers....

This one is in the current issue, have two in this issue, first time ever for me and first time for the kids being scrapped in it too! They were very excited to see themselves in the mag. I don't have a good picture of it so I will upload it later.... This layout is about my father( pictured on the left). He was so smart, always abreast on current and world events, very intelligent. I miss him....

I am really into my old products as of late, see I used some old Scrapworks paper on this layout. I love their paper and don't use it often but I loved the colors and wanted the layout to reflect an old school feel so I cut it up! :) Some to use now and some to save for later. Do you have papers that you just can't bring yourself to cut? For me it is scrapworks, fontwerks and some ki.... all pieces that are no longer produced so to me they are vintage, lol....

a little spring love

awww, it is another manic Monday, weekends are too quick but always lovely. I was kidfree this weekend, so didn't make it downtown to see the blossoms but I cleaned my house from top to bottom and it felt good, hung out with a friend and just chilled. I guess that is what spring does for me, hit with the cleaning bug. I miss my little ones though...

I haven't watched GG in like three weeks, bugga. I had a great chat with the Bad Girls, they are awesome over there!! Going to a 80's party tomorrow night, can't wait to dance the night away!

My Aiden, love taking his picture after he is groomed.  So excited to bring in a new month and coming one month closer to vacation! I can not wait to get to the Caribbean next month!  Another awesome thing  about April is that this month's temps average in the 70s, that is perfect weather my friends! :) I can't wait to see how Sawyer is going to handle Ben being shot!! I am sure he isn't dead, it is about to be on and popping!!
