A few more wedding pictures to share, that is all I have at the moment. I am working on some upcoming dares since I will be vacation when they are posted and I can't share them yet. I loved Kris's colors in her wedding. They totally matched her Caribbean heritage and complimented everyone so well, aren't they beautiful....sigh. She has a beautiful family and her brother is so funny, had the pleasure of sitting at his table at the reception. He had me laughing so hard,lol.





Off to throw some more clothes in the suitcases, run errands and head to work. Why does it always feel like you have a million and one things to do before a trip? I feel like I have washed enough clothes to clothed a small village, oy!

wow, i don't know where to begin... but I will say that I was totally honored to be apart of their special day-



I am only scratching the surface in editing the photos I took yesterday but I can easily see why photographers get hooked on weddings! It is so exciting and a great life experience to be able to capture for people-not easy but surely worth it. I am not by any means a professional but I really enjoyed being involved in their day and helping where I was needed. I will share some more photos tomorrow.








Kris asked me to take photos earlier in the year and I am not going to lie, I was so nervous at having such a big responsibility, but they were so easy and fun to be around. I dreamed of weddings all night Saturday but the nerves slipped away with each picture I took yesterday. I am so glad I said yes and for Kris for asking me to partake in their day...

one of those days...

You know the one that just drag on forever.... well that was my day today. No internet access for an entire day is murderous, wouldn't wish it on my worse enemy, if I had one, lol. The day was like watching grass grow! Any who, the work day is done and the weekend has commenced, oh yeah! :)

A new dare about your STYLE: your signature thing... like a piece of jewelery/shirt/shoes/bag that completes you- went up today, below is my take and the rest of the dares are here---> 138. I did a layout similar to this with the color one, but one can never scrap enough about your loves and something that is distinctly you. I made a mistake on my layout, yeah looks like I am a cast member for True Blood, spilled some ink on the pic by accident. But hey, i just rolled with it, things happen...


also a new scrapjack...it will be up soon but this is my take. I felt like playing with my art journal and the inspiration fit my mood perfectly.

So happy to finally see Jacob, I love that actor,it was so cool to see that all of the LOSTers really are connected. So Locke really is dead! What is the beef between Jacob and the Locke impostor, here we thought the only conflicts were between Charles and Ben... I am not surprised but can't wait to see the connection with the other "new" LOSTers and Jacob. Richard is so hot, I could look at him all day. So digging that he, Charles and Daniel's mom have some kind of love triangle going on. ABC should be ashamed of themselves for making us wait until next year to see the last season! I can not wait to see if the bomb worked...poor Julia. I am sorry I would have almost pulled Sawyer's arm off to get out of that situation. Kate gets on my nerves and what in the world happen between her and Jack?! I want more info. on that... well maybe not, lol.

I had to add some sort of picture to the post, hate my posts being bare. Iol, Saadiq loves to pose his figures for the lens. He is always excited to create a scene and have me snap a picture. I have quite a few toy shots, need to do a layout about them.

New dare and scrapjack tomorrow, so will have some layouts to share. :) I will be working on them while watching grey's finale tonight. I am sure I will be working, crying and cutting....

family.

Family is very important to me-I am lucky to have a really good relationship with my sister and mother. I can't imagine my life without them and so very thankful to have them both in my life. We don't always agree but it wouldn't be a family if we did. I took the above photo over the weekend, my sister is holding one of the flowers Momo mowed down off of a plant (forgot the name but it blooms every year around Mother's Day). I love her hands, jewelry and the tattoo in remembrance of our father, can't wait to scrap it.

I created a quick layout this morning about my mom, this picture is from the day she and our father got married. I love how she just radiates happiness (not my father cropped out of the photo, a cousin). She is my role model and always inspired me as a child and continues to. I love her so much and we all have so much fun when we are together. I can't wait to spend eleven days with them on vacation. I am so thankful that my children know and love her as much as I do...

Today is glorious and the sun is the icing on the cake, xo.

Back to the grind, trying to get inspired! Yellow in all shades is really inspiring me lately, love the warmth of this color. I love wearing it, creating with it and decorating with it.

I had a great Mother's Day, thank you for all the wishes;hope you did as well. It was nice, quiet, filled with love and family time, perfect way to spend it in my opinion. :) Looking forward to doing something fun and new this weekend, I will post more about it next week...

tv is really going to be good this week, lots of season finale=grey's anatomy (which I am sure I will need a box of Kleenex for), LOST (can't wait to see the outcome of Sawyer!) and Supernatural (will dean and sam reunite).

...totally bummed about Memory Makers Magazine closing, it is an awesome magazine. I have loved working with them so much this year.

It's Friday and guess what... it is sunny?!! :) woah, so excited about that and it is much needed after yesterday. Thank you for the words of sympathy-death is never easy no matter how old you are... more reason to live your life to the fullest and live each day as a blessing.

So, it is a new dare day and I love these chicks so much, they rock it every week. This week it is all about your commute, lack of commute or what gets you thru your commute...like me. :) It is totally up to interpretation. I am not complaining because I am thankful to have a job and it really doesn't seem that long when there isn't traffic but traffic in the dmv is so unpredictable and therefore the commute can be a very horrible thing here. I guess that is the ebb and flow of living in a metro area because you have to deal, that is my outlook. I do treat myself with some Starbucks to help ease the pain...

inked

I picked up some new ink colors yesterday and sassafras so I was itching to create with it last night. ...aren't those balloons the cutest? I also finished up the other layout from the weekend below.


The inks that I use the most are the Tim Holtz Distressed Inks, I love them and the pigment in them just rocks! I did order a bottle of Maya Mist with my Studio Calico kit this month so I am going to test that baby out tonight.

Thank you for the book suggestions, putting some on reserve at my library tonight!
....nothing much as to say, got some sad news at work that one of volunteers that we work closely with died last night. They do not know the cause of death at the moment, he was young, so so funny and always a pleasure to work with...just bummed about it :(. So the weather for sure matches my mood today. xo

It's roid week at flickr. It really doesn't help my take no polas, well let's not discuss okay... lol. I am thinking about making a pola mini or something....started on a layout this morning, but had ran out of time to finish it. I haven't had much mojo at night lately and that totally used to be my m.o. but mornings are when I feel most creative as of late. Thank you for the comments on my atc cards, they are fun! I do enjoy making them when I get into the groove of making them.

What are you currently reading? I want to take two good books on vacation with me. I know I am on goodreads, but feeling a little lazy today, ha!

...this is about the extent of my creative endeavors for NSD! I know, lame but I just wasn't into the online hoopla this year. So I just did my own thing which was to play with my inks and paint, I need some more spray ink colors....

...rained ALL weekend so the carnival was cancelled, didn't plant flowers or do much of anything except go to the movies. Wolverine was awesome, loved it! Hugh Jackman's body is bananas and Liv isn't bad either, yum. But the good news is this weekend we will be going to nana's to plant her huge garden, jump on the trampoline and spend some time in the sun and two weeks to vacation, praise the Lord! Hoping this Monday will be a fast one, who is with me?! xo

It's a new dare day, awesome color inspiration can be seen ---here. Plus it is my favorite day of the week, coupled with a new month and I blogged everyday this week! I learned this week that blogging isn't that hard to do everyday once I sit and take the time to blog. I mean for heaven's sake back in the day ( you can see in my archives) I used to blog sometimes twice a day! lol....well don't think I will do that but I am going to try and blog more than twice a week. deal

Plans for the weekend is to get in some outside time in btwn. the thunderstorms/rain is to plant some pretty flowers with my little helpers, school carnival mixed with some family time at the movies (wolverine, so my favorite x-man) and hopefully to create. Hope you have some fun times planned as well! xo
