it's thursday...yay!

t's Thurs..day...day...day..day, couldn't be happier because that's right we are one day closer to Friday! Saadiq's team won their game last night! He was so excited last night and hoping for a win on Saturday as well, we are too because it is almost playoff time. :)
Yesterday jed put up the first list prompt for her book of lists group and I loved it of course and had to create my first page immediately! The pic is from my phone, sorry about the quality... this list is all about tv couples-"who aren't couples and that I wish would hurry up and be couples". This is my kind of list because I am not a list writer at all but pretend, fun, tv list are right up my alley! :) My so should be a couple list consist of the following:
eric and sookie (true blood)
christina and burke (grey's anatomy...missed that character and they were so good together)
betty and daniel (ugly betty, which really has stepped up their game this season, very impressed)
serena and dan ( let's not talk about the fact that I am a 1.5 season behind)
olivia and stabler (svu)
As you can see I am still in love with my sewing machine and the list book is from jamaica's etsy shop....here. We are an ambitious bunch we have about 150 topics to go thru, can't wait to fill this mini up with fun lists! :) If my lists were half as fun as this one was, I might have to reconsider making more lists irl!

Stephanie and I did a photo swap last month, this is the layout I made for her. She is so sweet and super patient! She was done way before me but I hope she likes it! It is fun scrapping someone else's pictures besides your own but I am not going to lie I was nervous!! I can't help it, guess it is the libra in me. ;)

fall obsessions.

1. Vanity, 2. halloween flags | hambly, 3. {five}, 4. Day 73, 5. the road is life, 6. my very favorite time of year.
I am trying to roll with it this Monday morning and be excited for the week because it is going to be a busy one! We had a great weekend: eating chilli, playing word scramble, outside enjoying the weather before it gets too cold. I can't believe this is the last week in October! I truly love fall and these photos represent my fall state of mind right now: amber colors, halloween, taking photos and pumpkins. I love that the holidays are right around the corner too! :)
The trees are gorgeous right now, so I was on a quest to try to capture some of their beauty yesterday while we played with s2 on their scooter and skateboard. Here is Synai, I can't believe how big she is getting but then I see her hands and remember that she is still my little girl...
I can't wait to carve some pumpkins tonight, drink some hot chocolate, read halloween stories and watch real chance of love (dudes are crazy but the women are even crazier...loves it). I am hoping Aiden doesn't bite out the face of our jack o-latern like he did last year, oy!
hope you have a beautiful day!

happy happy friday!
happy happy friday, some inspiration for today to kick start the weekend:

I miss the Rachel Zoe Project all ready, so today's inspiration is inspired by miss tay! As much as I dislike her attitude, totally love her style! I love how she rocks plaid, wayfarers and dark nail polish on the regular. I tried on the Ray Ban's that she wears this week love them, but on me... not so much. I am a BIG frame sunglass girl and these by Grey Ant, Karen Walker also makes a similar pair= perfect!
Another current fav is boyfriend jeans, i love how they are loose and sexy all at the same time. GAP has a great pair that has 2% spandex in them- all the girls with curves holla! They are awesome! Total go to jeans and outfit for fall!
Have a great weekend!

its all good.
It's the middle of the week and I couldn't be any happier. Currently sipping on my shaken ice tea lemonade from Starbucks, the weather is perfect and the dares are now posting on our new day...wednesday. This is my layout for dare 150: changes.
The photo on this layout is an outake from my photo from yesterday but I like it even though you can see the remote, lol. Of course I used some of my old favorite products: Heidi Swapp damask sticker, Jenni Bowlin rub-ons, fabric thickers( 3/4 of us used the same ones=classic) and Hambly mod circles overlay.

I love this prompt because for me I think change is a natural part of life no matter if it is a good/bad change. I think you can always learn from the experience and hopefully become a better person once you get passed it.
i have a confesstion...finally caved and started watching the office on hulu, show is absolutely brills! Now I am wondering what took me so long... srsly dwight is a lunchbox!
happy wednesday!

hi there, it's been a while

Hi there, finally getting back into the groove for the week. I had a great birthday on Sunday and thank you all who left and sent me birthday wishes on fb, twitter and txt. I really had a very nice day with my family. It was awesome, full of giggles, love, celebration and sweetness. I feel very blessed to be able to celebrate being 33! :)

Evey year on my birthday I make a goal to do something or learn something new- no matter how big or small. I look forward to doing this every year, Sunday morning I was looking through my newspaper and saw that Target had their sewing machines so sale. It click...I have always loved how stitching looks on layouts and wanted to always do it on my projects as well. So we went out to the store and I purchased my very first sewing machine! :) I am so excited and having so much fun being crazy with it on paper.

Totally just going with the creative flow of it and enjoying the learning process and having fun! :) I am by no means perfect at sewing on paper but it is...ok. I made a few new atc cards this morning and here is a sneak at another layout for the Nov. Cocoa Daisy kit.

I can't believe Halloween is next week, October is almost donezo, and that I will have a nine year old in two days! :) I love fall, family,a four day work week and life, hope you are having a good day too!

oh happy friday!
Finally dove into the Nov. Cocoa Daisy kit, here are a few sneaks at two of the layouts that I completed. Tricia is also giving away Cosmo Cricket paper pads of Earth and Boyfriend lines....here, head on over for a chance to win and a look at the November kit. It is the perfect kit for fall.
I haven't talked about The Hills this season, it is well...different. Kristen was never my favorite on Laguna Beach but she is bringing the drama! As much as I hate to say it Spencer's interaction with the neighbors' child is priceless. This little boy is so cute but almost too cute you know, thinking he is a child actor! Justinbobby is still a loser but woah is it freaking seeing him smile so much with Kristen! I like the old contrived, beanie wearing JB better! I also want to know how in the hell did Stacie get to be on the show more when she was a bartender last year and now she is Kristen's bestie?! This is so scripted but yet I continue to watch it, can't help it... lol.
Heroes has really surprised me this season, it is great so far! I can't wait to see more of the new heroes and thank heavens some one heard my plea for Clairebear to stop wearing that wig from last season...small steps. Now if they could finally kill off Sylar, sorry folks he needs to go. If Nathan had to go so should he as well. Bennett is so cute this season, Peter = hot and of course Hiro is still a favorite.
Have a fabulous weekend, will be freezing outside in the rain tomorrow! I think some homemade vegetable soup will be in order when we come back home and a pj day, that is my motivation to get me thru their games.

halfway post.
thank you for the well wishes for Saadiq, he is back to his regular chipper self! It is such a relief, hate to see him sick, he been sick since Sunday. It is sad to see him not as himself but he was full thruttle as of yesterday afternoon and the same this morning!
I thought I would post some internet window shopping links. Lot's of updates and awesome products hitting the net as of late. My sponsors are included in this list, they have me drooling. :) I am sure I am not alone when I say that I can lose hours just blog, shop and etsy hopping all over the web universe. Sure to be good times, with the cold weather coming, so grab a cup of hotness and let's go!
evalicious just updated her shop with some new fall goodies, including this copic journal. Her new shop is fabulous!
love these handmade recyled envelopes from WhiteDragonPaper. They are made 100% from cardboard and chipboard scraps.
totally in love with lifelovepaper fall updates and totally giddy that she will also be offering her prints in a 2010 calendar too!
remember moments has the cutest 5x5 corrugated cardboard mini album kit, love all of the green and scallops! A mini will be so easy to make with these great products and really affordable too.
If I was a digi girl, I would so be on this kit by karla dudley designs. I love this halloween kit, it includes nine handwritten word brushes and five decorative circle stickers. I love the color combos of the words and stickers!
I can't wait to play with these pretties from horray design shop! I don't know what I am excited for more the spools or trimmings, srsly ooc!
hope you had fun window web shoppping, scrappy post cominig tomorrow! xo.

Home cuddling with my little guy, he has the flu. Poor thing has been sick since Sunday but being looked after and loved greatly by a house full of women. :) He slept all day yesterday which so unlike him but looks a lot better today. He loves the attention and extra back rubs by nana and me! Off to continue my disinfect, stop the crud from spreading plan! xo

Send me your details girl and I will mail your goodies out today! ;) Happy Friday!!!
It is gorgeous here today, hot but gorgeous and I am so happy it is Friday! Tomorrow we will be taking a quick jaunt up to Philly for our great aunt's 100th birthday party. Yep that's right 100, the women on my father's side have great longevity, my great grandmother lived to be 101, her sister 104 and my grandmother is in her 90's... all in the same lineage in fact it is her sister who we will be paryting it up with tomorrow! Well, not quite party-ing up because one it is in a church and two she is 100.... but we will be celebrating her life....pretty awesome I think. Only time will tell if we inherited any of their genes. I hope to be able to take some good photos, because I do not have any of them and I have such great memories of them all as a child.
I hate posting without photos, so here is one of Aiden after his bath and grooming this morning by moi. He is so frisky after a grooming, lol. Sorry about the grain, took the pic with my phone. I had to make him all cute for hisgirlfriend my mommy, lol he totally loves her!

woot for a four day work next week! Have a great weekend!

get stuff done*
yesterday's remember moments giveaway winner!!
Charmaine said... Very cute cards!
12:51 PM
congrats Charmaine, please send me your details! I had a lot of get stuff done energy this morning + I was bored with some of the displays in my home so I rearranged some items and hung new ones. I think I have changed this one here the most, but it is almost to where I want it. I want to add more photos and frames to the drop zone behind Synai....

I moved this chalkboard from my creative space into the bathroom downstairs. It wasn't been used much in my area, now it will get used a lot! Saadiq and Synai love to write on their chalkboard so this is just another area to leave a message behind. I got it last year on clearance from Paper Source, now I am wishing I had another one, love pairs always! Must admit that the light bulb went off with this one when I saw it on Tara's blog some months ago...

Art work comes thru the door in droves not to mention all of the doodles in the house. I added to the art corner some of their most recent drawings. I can't wait to see their reaction when they come home, Synai made the elephant one this week at school. <3

Since I was clearing out and and rearranging all over like a mad woman, here is a giveaway to brighten someone's day. These are some "vintage" Prima flowers, I haven't used them in a long time! You will have over 40 flowers. You can see another view of the flowers here...container not included. If you are interested in them, leave a comment and I post a winner tomorrow, sound good? :)

I love Thursdays and can't wait to watch some awesome tv tonight while I scrap. :) I am hoping that get stuff done energy carries over into tonight, wish me luck!

sponsor intro + giveaway: remember moments
Remember Moments is a small etsy shop filled with handmade goodness: journals, card kits, mini books and mini album kits that will jump start your next creative project! Today's giveaway is a card kit-you will be able to make four cards from the kit! Krystyn was kind enough to answer a few questions, hope you enjoy getting to know this artist better!
For me finding time to create is very important, how do you find time to create with being a mom, wife and student?
That is a huge challenge for me!! I try to squeeze in at least 30-45 minutes at night a few times each week after my son has gone to bed. It's not nearly the amount of time I want for scrapbooking, but it'll have to do for now.
What is one of your guilty pleasures?
I am ridiculously addicted to Starbucks Iced Chai Tea. I try hard to limit myself to only 2 per week...that's another huge challenge. :)
Do you have a scrapbooking purchase that you regret?
Yes. Quite a few over the years really, but most recently I purchased the Bind-It-All. I seem to make more mini-books/albums that actually scrapbook pages, so I was really excited to pick this up. Well, after hours of going over the manual I just couldn't figure it out...maybe it was just me, but I got so frustrated & ended up selling it. I don't regret getting rid of it. Thank goodness I love binder rings.
What is your favorite product/manufacturer to use on your projects?
That's a tough one. I'm going to have to say American Crafts. I absolutely love Thickers and now that AC bought Pebbles...i love those Candy Dots too!!! I also love that their paper is doublesided...works great for all my mini-albums!!!
Thank you Krystyn!
Please leave a comment and a winner will be posted tomorrow.
happy wednesday!

wow, what a weekend!
wow, what a great weekend! It was simply gorgeous and I was lucky to outside for most of it outside. I worked at the Plane Pull on Saturday, here is a few pictures from my day there:

Our Special Olympics' team kicked off the pull as the first team to pull for the day! They are amazing and always a crowd favorite! The plane this year was a big one... an A310!!! We had 60 teams that pulled and raised money for Special Olympics!

Kids Bus Pull, yes they are pulling that school bus! :)

I loved this car in the car show, hope it won an award! I did a lot of walking, setting up and my feet were killing me by the end of the day but it is always a great event and supported well by the community. I feel blessed to be working in a job that I love.

I feel like I am so behind with posting some of my layouts for the Oct. gallery for Cocoa Daisy, but as you can see I was busy, lol. This kit was so much fun to work with, I loved cutting out those clothes lines from the Cosmo Cricket paper on this one! Here are two of them and you can check out the rest of my gallery... here.

I am off to catch up on house chores, running errands, buying pumpkins and start an art journal before the kids get out of school!
Happy Monday!
