Happy Monday!! I hope you had a great weekend, mine was super fast and a little sad. Some may know as I tweeted about Aiden having to go to the vet on Saturday. He had to have surgery to take care of an aural hematoma, he is fine but we miss him. Our family feels incomplete when he isn't around, syani kept commenting on how much she missed aidy (her nickname for him) all weekend. But other than that, it was a great weekend- visited our  family, taking long naps, lounging in pjs and enjoying the last bits of summer! S2 started school today, they were super excited, which I love! I will share a few pictures of them tomorrow, they didn't have much patience for my paparazzi like behavior this morning, lol.
soooo- True Blood was off the chain right?! I will not speak on it just wanted to let you know I watched and loved it!

it is almost the weekend, yeah can almost taste it!!!We are heading down to the country to see my mom and relax over the weekend! thought I would share some of my pages from my style files mini book which the style files classes were based on. some of my favorite stamps are getting the pink slip! once they are gone, they are gone! :( I love the ferris wheel and doily border stamps. I haven't used the ferris wheel one yet, but am challenging myself to use it this weekend!

I layered a few on this page but stamps are becoming my current favorite supply again! What are your current favorites, I'm always on the look out! :)

thank you for all of the love on my sneaks, back 40 is an amazing kit which made it super easy to play and work with! The punch that I used on one of layouts is this one-but I want these too:scalloped circle chain edger, swiss cheese! I am  so happy this day is almost over,is it friday yet?!

happy monday, can't believe this is the last week of august! my weekend was over in a blink of an eye, had a funeral on saturday which took up my entire day. I didn't mind because it was with family and it was nice to chill with my cousins and be there for my family. It is so easy to get caught up in day to day life and loose connections with extended family but a wedding or a funeral always reconnects those lost bonds. In an instant my sister and me were reminiscing over our childhood and laughing so hard our stomachs hurt!

true blood, drops mic, OMG so so good! It makes me so sad that the season is almost over but I didn't think I could love/hate Eric more! I won't talk to much about it because I don't want to spoil it but Tara is getting on my darn nerves, didn't expect Sam to be a bad boy and Jessica makes me want a BFF as a vampire! :)

okay,on to my sneaks for september's studio calico kit, the colors are so gorgeous and super easy to work with.  I purchased two add-on this month, this one was made with the fresh cut add-on. I love the blues and greens in this add-on!


This layout about Synai was made with both the main kit, back 40 and the harvest moon add-on. You may have to sit down for this one, I used a B-O-R-D-E-R  P-U-N-C-H on this layout! You may recall last year I had a great Fiskar's punch that I gave away here and I swore to never purchase one again. Well, I didn't stick with that declaration long and a few months back picked up another one by EK and I love it! I love shape punches and as you can tell by most of my layouts the circle and star punches are my most loved ones but I think this border punch is going to make it into my top 5 punches! :)


and kisses is made with the main kit, back 40. I think this is my favorite layout and I had to restrain myself from using the Jenni Bowlin butterfly on all of my layouts! :) I

jumping in to say happy happy friday!! today has been off the hook, but wanted to share another page in my week in the life while on vacation mini and dare 166:papercuts. I was totally kicked up on coffee this morning and used that extra energy to create!

we were a hungry crew when we arrived in AZ, once we found out that our room wasn't ready at the resort, had no choice but to chow down at zinc bistro (my devotion of their delicious fries)!

I can already tell this is going to be a roll with it kind of week, but looking back at these photos make me smile and happy. I am so glad I was asked to join these fun girls for a weekend of fun,shopping, creating and good eats which is so my formula for fun, fun, fun!

love this picture of us all before dinner Friday night (taken by mandi), stuffed peppers and enchiladas, yum! It really was nice to have hot food and drinks ready upon arrival after a 7 hour+ ride.


love my jen, feel so incredibly lucky to see her twice this year, hoping the next time will be our dare meetup!


awesome to finally meet stephanie, danielle and vanessa too, super cool and just as they are on their blogs but better! I love it when that happens, wish we all lived closer.



mandi, the hostess with the mostest! I know that isn't a word but roll with it. :) She was super sweet and introduced us to her charming town which was hosting the NFL hall of fame hoopla over the weekend., which by the way didn't warrant any super hot sports men. oh well you win some you lose some,lol. I love the art scene in canton, really inspiring.

ohio antiquing is the dope show

hello hello, back from my antiquing, crafty girls weekend, had a total blast!  the weather in oh was perfectly blissful (has me wanting fall weather right now!), great company and the
s-h-o-p-p-i-ng...omgomg-the best antique stores by far ever and the owners were so hospitable.

The last shop where I purchased the most items from were the sweetest, they reminded me of people from the south. I have a few pictures of the weekend to share today but will have more tomorrow because this post would be ooc with photos, promise you will thank me! ;).

never can pass up on a mirror, ack now i wish i had gotten this mirror, but it wouldn't have been room since the whip was full to capacity with us girls and our purchases! isn't the letterpress drawer amazing...sigh

had to get some thread and on wooden spools, shut up! so sold...

Happy Happy Friday! I am off to Ohio for a scrapping weekend, rjavascript:void(0)eally excited because one: I haven't been to Ohio before and two: to finally meet some online friends irl and three: to hang with my girl Jen again!

As promised I am holding another session of my style files workshop. First of all thank you for the interest and emails about it being held again! :)  We had a fantastic time in the first session so I am eager to see what everyone  will learn and create this second time around.

This session will begin on Monday, August 16th. It is a eight day class in which you will receive: a daily colored PDF prompt  with instructions via email which will also include a technique  or inspiration for the day with an example. The cost of the class is $12 USD. Registration starts today and will end on 8/15.

Within 24 hours of your registration being received,you will receive a confirmation and supply list. An invite to the private flickr group for the class participants will be sent out within 24-48 hours (most likely sooner but wanted to account for being out of town this weekend).

and a new project begins...

with the start of another month so starts a new project! finally starting my week in the life,yes finally! well it is week in the life while on vacation minibook, will share more as I put it together (not the best picture but here is a glimpse).


looking forward to what August has to brings even if it is more HOT weather. promise to be more present,just didn't have much to share these past few weeks, but I am recharged and ready to be a good blogger again! :)
