I hope you are having a great holiday weekend,are you sick of leftovers yet, lol?! I am dropping in right quick to share my Studio Calico December Gallery, Metropolitan went on sale last night and it is looker, of course I was smitten with the color combo! :)

I made this layout with the focus to be on these awesome days of the week stamps, with a mixture of metropolitan and mass transit add-on! They are my new love, can see these easily being used in a december daily album! Everyday is an adventure with my precious s2! I love them both, I embossed a few of the stamps with American Crafts Zing glitter powder.


I made this layout with a combination of products from the main kit (metropolitan) and the add-on (mass transit). I love taking self portraits and mirrors especially antique ones. The colors in the photo mixed so well with the Studio Calico exclusive papers! I used lots of foam tab circles and of course mister huey's in warm calico , my second love. I love making easy 3D elements on pages with them!

S1 has no tolerance for the lens as of late, it cracks me up. The most I am able to get is one photo before I get this face:

I created this layout with the main kit only, love the American Crafts Green Grid mixtape! It is just like washi tape!

Also made a mini with the add-on mass transit only, here are a few pages (remaining pages can be found (here):


The pages are cut at different lengths to show fragments of photos behind the pages or after.  All of the bases are with the gorgeous Bazzill Cinder paper.
I haven't scrapped all weekend but  I am really excited to start my daily this week! Who else has made one, would love to see it, link me up! :)

must burn these calories some how...

hope y'all had a great Thanksgiving, we sure did! We had a full day of cooking and finally eating after a snafu with the turkey. I don't think we can ever escape a perfect holiday where I don't have to make multiple trips to the grocery store, lol. The thing I love the most about the holidays is the family time, this photo make me so happy inside.

I can't think of a better way to burn calories than a day of shopping! We've already been out once today, taking a quick break than off we go again! :) I have a few deals to share for you as well, can't forget about scrapbooking. :)

raise your hand if you are a total dare slacker...hmmmmm, so guilty here :). way late but I am so in love with  dare 172! It puts all of blog, google reader, ads, tumblr, graphic loves to good use as inspiration. I finally gave documentary the love it deserves, love the colors in this line. It is perfect for fall or thanksgiving layouts.

what, it's Tuesday and the work week is almost done?!  I've been busy, sorry for the lack of posts. I plan on remedying that over the holiday break! I have lots to share and if you follow my tweets, you know I have my tree up...yep yep! I plan on snappin' some pictures soon, thinking of putting no.2 tonight! :)

I've been feverishly cleaning and getting things ready for my mom's arrival tomorrow for Thanksgiving. I do have a layout to share and a few more peeks for the Studio Calico December gallery.

happy Wednesday! this is what it looks like in my corner of the world, for me it is fall at its best. We are experiencing unseasonably warm weather here this month and I couldn't be happier! If you have been a reader of my blog for a while you know I love fall and spring. I am an in between weather girl, do not like hot or cold weather...mid 60's are perfect for me. I love minimal layering, not having to wear big coat, boots, seasonal drinks and oh the colors. I LOVE the rustic colors of fall, everything just looks golden and  right. Not only is the weather just right but Thanksgiving is a week away, can hardly contain my joy!

day four-something people seem to compliment you the most on. 
It would have to be my smile, since the days of elementary school picture day about every school photographer always complimented me on my smile. I love this feature about myself as well. When I fractured my arm in fourth grade my ortho surgeon said I had a smile that could melt a snowman, needless to say he became my all time favorite doctor and made me more aware of it. I love how a  smile can make someones day, break the ice in an awkward situation or make people relax/ feel reassured. :) What is your favorite feature?

metropolitan s. peeks

a few sneaks of what I 've made  with the December Studio Calico kit thus far. don't hate...I can't get enough of the butterflies, sorry they make me happy! :) They do the same for Syani too, she ooh's and ahhh's over them on cue, love her!

this layout was made from products from the main kit, metropolitan only, of course you know I am loving these colors in the main kit. I squealed with delight when I saw the initial images, not to mention Sassafras designed two papers exclusively for the main kit in addition to the SC exclusive papers!


I mixed a little bit of add #4( mass transit) with this layout but can I tell you that  I am in serious love with the above paper? Plus me and foam tab dots  are like this (crosses fingers) right now, yep!

trust me you are going to want more color and pattern paper, I did. a. because I love cinder and b. these pattern papers must be hoarded, be in my possession always!

happy Monday... I know this day isn't the most popular one of the week but I must say, I feel great today and totally refreshed. I am running with it and hoping that this infectious spirit lasts all week, thinking the holiday spirit is really starting to sink in, love that holiday fog! :)

 I can't believe we are about a week away from Thanksgiving, looking forward to the short work week, good eats, shopping and family time always. I will have some sneaks to share tomorrow, from the Studio Calico December kit- Metropolitan ( so in love with the exclusive kit papers) or maybe a quick sneak later tonight via a tweet!

My first project of the month is up on the shimmerz paints blog, where I am gdt'in this month and next! You know my love for paint, shapes and mist knows no bounds! I love the shimmer in their paints and mist-so beautiful and adds the perfect veil of shimmer to everything! I loved using the blingz paint on the wood veneer stars. They are so easy to paint or leave as is, love them both ways so I added them both . I took it back to just cardstock, photo, stamps and rubons mixed with a few staples, you know me! :)

off the list

I really tried to cross off projects on my to do list over the weekend. It felt good to whip up my december daily for 2010! No surprise that I am still rocking the shapes, I am still in love with the studio calico grid stamp and star rubons!! I also finally used this wood veneer strip that I've been hoarding saving and a lot of what was left from previous kits  to create the cover for my daily. I will have more things to share this week including my this/that dare, shimmerzpaints designs(super excited to be guesting there this and next month) and working on sc december sneaks for next week. What are you currently working on?

Our weekend went way to fast as usually but it was an exciting one because s1 team went 10-0 for the regular season!! They are going to the playoffs and s2 has competition this weekend, so sports are going on a bit longer but we couldn't be happier!

I also had a question about more classes for this year, I do not have anymore schedule for 2010 but will be doing some new ones in 2011, I will keep you posted!

the sun shines thru

Happy Friday!! This week has been a beast so today is much welcomed around these parts for sure. I am starting to feel giddy with excitement for the holidays. This time last year I had made my dec daily mini, so I am going to get started on it tonight, have some ideas for it. I hope to share it tomorrow in between football games. It is the last game of the season for them both but Saadiq's team is going to the playoffs...yaaaaay! Synai is getting ready for cheer competition, her squad last year won first place.

1. it's friday, you know I love this day, I really do wake up happy on this day.
2. faux fur accessories, perfect for today's breezy weather
3. vampire diaries, i love this show!!
4. after school talks with s2
5. hearing christmas music at the mall, no lie, yeah not event thanksgiving but I love it!
6. this week's dare, getting on it tonight as well!

tuesday, already? my second post of the day didn't happen yesterday, so here is our halloween recap. we always love walking, talking and laughing at all of the costumes and antics of other families. we got an early start this year, which was really nice to start before it is totally dark, I feel less paranoid and safer.

s2 are really easy when it comes to picking costumes, they just go with the flow and usually decide as they look thru the costumes but this year Saadiq was set on being ghostface from scream! He loves scary movies and can't wait to turn 13 so he can go to horror movies with his aunt bgee.  so our halloween in pictures...
I told Saadiq to do something scary, this is what I got, lol. Those preteen hormones are making an appearance more and more...

she was beside of herself as a pink leopard lady! :) she was more than excited to get her face painted and to wear some "makeup", such a girl!


grrrrr.... she couldn't stop twirling and jumping!

we kicked off the night at our favorite stop each year, they always have the best decorations and have three bowls of goodies to choose from two always being non candy items! I love this skeleton!

i know this is totally blurry and out of focus but it is my favorite. I love the conversation Synai and B are having in the background, the glow from the street light and of course my little ghostface. This family that was behind us got a kick out of him but their son, not so much. He would wail every time he saw Saadiq.
