lawn party reveal! ♥

I am so excited to share my layouts I made with the May kit, Lawn Party. I think this is really my favorite kit of the year, it is so gorgeous and versatile! I loved all of the pink, oranges, black and greens in this kit, don't get me start on the delectable number stamp in the main! In addition to picking up the addons- Pink Leomonade and Paper Laterns I also purchased more white, pennant pins, grapefruit zing, aqua zing, white gel pen. I would highly recommend (love them all) these too: precision 5 pk (BOGO), vintage bumble bee stamp, lunchtray and schoolhouse( once these mister huey's colors are gone, they are gone)

sunshine delight: LOVED the Fancy Pant "filters", mixed piglet and schoolhouse mister huey's to get the color to make the photo pop! I so love this AC paper as the background.

My take on this layout, loved the windows! Inked the ampersand and kept some of the elements natural,love the contrast.

I love this product, the perfect sponge for keeping your peds soft! It's a must year round but especially in the sping/summer to keep those feet on point and looking pretty in sandals. :) It does make your feet slick so I would suggest using it towards the end of a shower/bath. If you like me like to do your own pedis pumice stone + spongeable=perfection! I've purchased mine from wal-mart and cvs locally but amazon has them as well.

yep, it's already Tuesday, yaaaaay!! I hope you had a wonderful weekend and Easter for those that celebrate it. I jumped at the chance to document all of us dressed up after church, my mom and sister never want their picture taken. So I totally guilted them into taken one with, "s2 are never going to have pics of you to look at when they are grown....."

it worked like a charm :)

for the record, i have 4 inch heels on and Saadiq still looks tall, oy!

happy weekend!!! Quick sneak of my layouts for lawn party, this kit is gorgeous and perfect for spring, easter, girl/boy layouts-super versatile kit! I really loved working with it.  This month I really mixed the add ons two (pink lemonade) and three (paper lantern) with the main kit, lawn party. It was so much fun mixing all the elements together!! I can't wait for reveal night on the 27th!! Have a great weekend and blessed holiday!

my favorite mint nail polishes from ( left-right: essie turquoise and caicos; china glaze for audrey; forever 21 mint; essie mint candy apple)  I love them all for different reasons like the F21 has gold duo chrome, for audrey matches tiffany blue almost perfectly, turquoise and caicos is mca's darker cousin and mint candy apple started my craze with mint nails over a year ago- it always garners lots of compliments. what are some of your favorite nail colors, would love to hear!

bling it out

Today is totally gorgeous and my coworker and I are about to hit up pinkberry for an afternoon treat-nom nom!! Super quick post today- wanted to share my latest layout I made for the Studio Calico blog last week. You know I love my bling bling and the the new wood veneer buttons are pretty darn cute on their own but I jazzed them up a bit more with glitter glue (can be done using glitter zing too).

For more details on how I gave the  buttons a little more bling read my post here. Have you seen the wood  veneer hearts, swoon they would be perfect gift toppers for mother's day gifts! I'm just saying....

off duty blur

As always the weekend ended abruptly, BUT this is a short work week as well as the next so it is all gooD! :) We spent half the weekend indoors because of severe thunderstorms and tornado warnings, thankfully none touch down in our area. Sunday was gorgeous, nice drives and sweet treats for the road for s2 at starbucks, they love getting capt n' crunch fraps. They are currently on spring break and enjoying nana time.

It feels good not having to bundle up to go out, went out on sunday with just a vest and long sleeve t=heaven. I was totally on a cleaning terror and cleaned all of my suede shoes, they needed it but in cleaning them I notice I have a major connection with suede, didn't realize how many I own until now. I am doing a slight reorganizing of my closet, not as big as the last one but making it more efficient (proud to say it still organized and neat over a year later). I want to get this shelf for shoes and such. Oh can you say i am in love with the color blush at the moment, new favorite color!!  It's going to be in the mix alot this summer, so ready for summer  summer summertime-time to sit back and unwind!! :)

gettin' my DIY on

it's my favorite day of the week, happy happy friday guys!! :) It is gorgeous today (totally matches my mood) and I am geared up for the weekend including my whole little unit. S2 are going to their nana's for spring break this weekend and they woke up totally geeked up this mornig, it was so cute!

This weekend I plan to get my diy on and well hopefully share the results on monday, it includes an old oversized t-shirt pictured above, fabric markers and one of my favorite brands/logo :) Also can't wait to to dive into lawn park, have you seen the sneaks yet? GORGEOUS!! My action plan while they are on break is to get stuff done, wish me luck! :)

I painted, inked and misted the borders, you know how I do. :) I love this picture of syani and me, sigh. I feel like they are growing up faster than I can capture it. :(

clearly, i need more film

I have quite the arsenal of film but after making this  page this morning, clearly I need more. :) I've had these parisian anthology protectors forever and was finally inspired to use them after seeing Lisa's project life layouts, i love clear elements ( will share more info. on upcoming workshop next week based on clear elements)! I ordered more zing this month, one being the color grapefruit . I am loving bright colors a lot right now. I embossed the wood veneer butterfly with grapefruit zing and added a little stickles glitter glue  on top for a bit of sparkle! These protectors make it really easy to use up scraps from older kits and papers...i like :).

hey guys, sorry for being a TERRible blogger last week. I am going to do better this week because I have some fun things to share this week. I did document the week sort of with a few pictures. We had a fabulous weekend, hope you did as well!

We (really me and Synai) planted some flowers last Wednesday, just before the skies opened up. She loves any task and helping around the house. I totally planted these out of season but once they were in the ground I wasn't going to dig them back up, c'est la vie!

Tried out some new foundation over the weekend, had to test how it photographed inl, verdict:love it but not the price, ouch but I need a great mat foundation and I think this one will have HG status when I purchase it! I've been obsessing over it since I tried it, do you do that?

In love with making my digital prints into instax photos with my fuji portable printer! ETA: my printer is the Fuji Pivi MP300 It is so quick, easy and fun to use. I plan on bringing to CKC Manchester and Valley Forge-will anyone be traveling to these, would love to say hi to you?!! I will be teaching at Manchester and working the SC booth at Valley Forge.

happy Monday y'all! I had a great weekend which put me in a great mood for the upcoming week, yeaH! I was bad at documenting it because I left my camera at home but it just made the weekend that more relaxin'. I know I am always wondering what works for people so I thought I would share my updated haircare products. I've been asked in the past so I thought it would be fun to share what I use currently. All are nautural products that are paraben and petroleum or sulfate free except for one, i made the switch a few months ago and so happy that I did.
These are the products I use weekly but I also believe they would work fabulous on all hair types especially thick hair!!
1.carol's daughter lisa's hair elixir: great for a hair treatment and use for oiling scalp (i use it for the later 2x week and occasionally on the ends of my hair)  2. carol's daughter hair balm : great for daily use to add gloss, shine and groom & smooth flyways. i love how this tames and sculpts my bangs! Plus a little bit goes a long ways when applying. 3.kiehls creme w. silk groom: used once a week after I wash, blowdry and style my hair, my hair is the driest at this time so I like to use it to add back moisture. 4. carol's daughter some of marguerites magic: this is like bling for your hair, makes it look super shiny, healthy and prevents shedding. I love to use this for special events. (oh carol's daughter products smell different than other products and it was a smell I had to get used to but normally fades right after application) As you can see I am pretty ocd when it comes to moisturizing my hair- eek!! 5. kinky curly: great detangler, love it! 6. cantu shea butter leave in conditioner repair cream: used this for YEARS and it makes your hair so soft and the only natural product I don't use but can't dare be without. 7. organix moroccan argan oil shampoo: a new favorite shampoo, love almost all of the organix shampoo line it smells great and has some of the nourishing factors from the moroccan argan oil but does not lather a lot since it is sulfate free.

HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY FRIDAY!! I've been looking forward to this day since Wednesday! I don't know why but this week seemed painfully long!!  I can't wait until after to work to drive down south. I am really looking forward to this month: CKC Manchester (leave a comment if you are taking a class or shopping,I will be there teaching with Studio Calico), Easter,spring break for s2, warmer nights and longer days, nyc trip in the works...

okay so you know my love for tv and I do watch the housewives series but only, atlanta, orange county and beverly hills. I also watch bethanny's show too, love love jason, she is a bit much sometimes. I love "reality" tv and looking forward to audrina's new show as well as mob wives, hello!!  I swear my dvr is on the verge of exploding, lol.

One of my favorite lines of all time from Studio Calico is being discontinued, insert :(.  I love love the arrow paper (looky there), it is going fast but some of documentary is left in the shop. Zing is also restocked, orange glitter, pink glitter, charcoal and white (they will ship with your kit if you buy now).
