project life 2012|week 2

I can't believe week three is almost complete, if anything this project makes you really see how fast the weeks moves and it makes it even more important to document what you can when you can.I really enjoy getting my album together starting on my first day of the new week (Sunday for me). It usually takes me a few days to complete as I sit to work on it in open moments either before I go to bed or before s2 wakes up each day.   I am not trying to capture it all but I am becoming more aware of what we are doing daily. Week two was a fun one, semi-annual dental appointment=early school release, denim find of the century minute at H&M (followed by swift failure at zara's...balance),  first snowfall finally and documentation of our (mainly saadiq's and synai's) obsession with the weather each morning, home bathroom diy (yep that is my caulking gun) and reminder to stay on track with our fitness (we get our walks in on the weekend). project life|week 2 project life|week 2 details project life|week 2 details project life|week 2 details project life|week 2 details: chipotle project life|week 2 details-flats products used: Bazzill Plastic Paper;JBS alpha stickers (yellow); Splendid Fiins PL cards (seriously and look here, avail. 1/23 at jessicasprague.com; Studio Calico Memoir Scrap Pad (chevron circle); Amy Tangerine Thickers; Jillibean Soup Corrugated Arrow; Studio Calico Chipboard Butterfly (I painted it neon pink); K and Company Smash Tape (really like); Studio Weekday Rubon; Studio Calico Wood Veneer (house); JBS Chipboard Buttons; Kaisercraft Jewels;;Crate Paper Cardstock Stickers; JBS Tiny Circle Alphas

a few notes about my album:

I use 12x12 Bazzill Plastic Paper (just like overlays) for the clear elements in this album and my December Daily 2011 I cut them down to the size I want and insert, emboss, staple, tape or sew  them to pages.

My page protectors are various sizes, including the following: 6x6, 6x8.5 and 5x7. I am thinking about adding these 4x6 to the mix as well!

Adhesives- I used anything that is clear or dries clear like mini glue dots (love how small these are); This to That Glue Dot Runner and Zip Dry.

I print my photos at home on an old cannon color photo printer. Some of my instagram photos on week two are 2x2, overlay photo is 3x5  and the remaining photos are 2x3.

hope this answers any questions you have if not just ask away from the link at the top of the blog or on twitter, I am happy to answer! :)

i also think that's a great idea, cutting things to size. i look at all the 12X12 blogs/layouts/everything being made for 12X12 and im a cut to size girl, so it's hard for me to not think im already doing it wrong. thanks for sharing your PL with us and your thoughts.

I, too, love that you have all sizes in your book--I'm such a "play by the rules" girl that I forget it's ok to relax and go with the flow! Love your work!

I agree with how fast the weeks go. I also realize that my life feels very boring in the winter.
